~Atlantian History: A Timeline of Events~
AE = Atlantis Era
1208- Atlantis discovered by Europe. Noted as "uninhabitable land".
1246- Atlantis revisited by Europe. Atlantis studied until 1248. Still deemed "Uninhabitable".
1291- Atlantis discovered by early Romans. An expeditionary team was sent to colonize it.
1293- Colonization mission reports back to Rome. East colony established.
1303- Latins discover Atlantis. A Southeastern colony is established.
1304- The "Battle of Territories" results from overlapping of cattle grazing land between the colonies.
1304- 8th month: "Battle of territories" is resolved. Grazing land is neutral.
1310- Spain tries to overthrow the Latin and Roman colonies.
1312- Greece is called in to aid the colonies.
1313- Spain is defeated, Northern continent is given to them to colonize as a reward.
1327- The three colonies join to form a city called "Netribar"
1329- The colonies decide to elect a central ruler.
1330- Atlantian politics arises. A central ruler is elected: Oki Nanah Kictch. (and Queen Kimicha)
1399- Atlantis is named such by Oki Nacan Kitari Mei II
1456- France launches an invasion of Atlantis. (Referred to as the "Mistake of 1456")
1459- France and Atlantis draw a truce, leaving France a small portion of the north quarter of Atlantis, but they never colonize it.
1459- The cotton gin is invented
1463- a new city is set up as the capital of Atlantis: Aqemiru
1470- The Atlantian Language is made official by the 4 existing continents (Europe, Africa, Atlantis & North America)
1492- Columbus discovers America through bad directions given by a drunk Oki Zamada Parn Witsuka
1498- Chicken is introduced into the Atlantian diet
1503- the horse-driven plow comes back into use
1511- The Royal Mage is hired
1513- gliders are invented by Maxan Giris
1517- "Kimicha" becomes Atlantian slang for "Queen" in honor of Queen Kimicha, the very first atlantian Queen
1522- Milk is introduced into the Atlantian diet
1533- steam engines are introduced
1551- the Atlantian industrial revolution begins
1567- boats are the main form of Atlantian transportation
1569- shipbuilding becomes a profession
1574- A popular shipbuilder, Hanara Ktchaa, is hired to supervise the building of ships for the Atlantian Navy
1581- steam trains are used to transport goods from place to place
1583- Declaration of the separation of Religion and goverment is announced. No longer is religion an issue in law-making or morals
1594- Oki Bawaru Maru Kenta "Evil Iron Hand Kenta" turns Atlantian goverment upside down with his tyrranical ways. (some say he was one of the first Denerosians)
1599- Oki Kenta announces the law that stated that women were used only to repopulate the nation, and nothing more. He also legalized spousal abuse, outlawed abortion, and passed a law that stated that every family must have at least 4 children to be considered upstanding citizens.
1600- The great population boom began
1605- Oki Kenta orders the southern quarter to be reserved as private land for him and his family
1606- The underground movement against Oki Kenta, called "The Guard Atlantian Honor Regime" is founded in the 5th month, in a small town east of Aqemiru.
1608- Oki Kenta discovers the G.A.H.R., and orders all members killed instantly along with their families.
1608-1611- Many Atlantians (over 5,620,239)die for "Treason against Oki Kenta"
1613- The assassin-sniper Kiawa Shieme of G.A.H.R. attacks Oki Kenta during a public treason killing. (Some say he was assisted by the Royal Mage)
1613- 2nd month; Oki Kenta dies from his wounds.
1613- 4th month; a new goverment order is formed, consisting of three members deciding together as one person. These people were known collectively as the "Triad". This was to prevent the rise of another Oki Kenta.
1617- The population boom ends
1619- The ruins of the castle of Oki Kenta become a meeting place for early rebels (later on known as Denerosians)
1625- G.A.H.R. is honored by the current Triad for bravery, and made into what is now known as the "Atlantian Honor Guard"
1629- Trains began to transport people from place to place
1630- the industrial revolution revives, after lying dormant under the rule of Oki Kenta.
1631- the "Era of Innovation" begins
1632- early scuba devices were invented, for those not born with the traditional Atlantian magic
1641- irrigation systems are introduced by Faran Hime Santanaka
1643- Cameras are introduced.
1665- Asia buys the unpopulated French quarter from France
1669- Asian immigrants begin to arrive
1678- bi-wing airplanes are invented
1681- the gas light is replaced by the "spirit light" (an early version of the light bulb)
1690- refrigeration is introduced, and preservation of foods
1692- the bow and arrow is modified to be like a "gun" of Europe (the crossbow is invented)
1693- schools open across the continent
1698- the first telepathy & magic refinery school is opened in Siele Port.
1700- Colleges are built for further education
1705- Trade schools develop
1712- the line blurs between magic and technology
1719- the wood burning stove is invented
1720- The Segil War begins against Russia
1723- Two members of the current Triad are slain. The remaining member, Dashan Kimili Akara leads alone until the battle is over
1726- 9th month; the Segil War ends, Atlantis is victor.
1726- Akara becomes the first Oki since Kenta. His wife is Kimicha Eden
1730- radio is invented
1734- the power plant is introduced.
1748- solar power is harnessed by panels
1749- Oki Akara passes away from a strange disease in the 7th month, 24th day.
1749- Oki Akara II, his son is coronated
1753- Oki Akara II takes a wife, Kimicha Arenilela
1761- the "Era of Innovation" ends
1769- 1st month; The NorthernEx war begins
1769- 5th month; the invisibility shield is erected
1771- the NorthernEx War (against Europe) ends
1772- invisibility shield is voted permanent
1776- the television is invented
1785- Atlantian becomes an actual race, after they sealed themselves off from the rest of the world
1797- the ruins of the castle of Oki Kenta is considered a shrine to Rebels
1800- the Rebel movement against Atlantis begins
1801- The death penalty is instated against anyone who slanders Atlantis or it's Royal family by Oki Wauja Kokona Tren Erinis
1802-1830- the Era of contentment
1839- Atlantis is rumored to have sunken into the ocean, the only way explainable for it to have left without a trace
1848- Atlantis is confirmed "sunken" by the debris under where it used to be on the ocean floor, which were actually remnants of Oki Kenta's castle back from when the Atlantian people demolished it after his death. They threw many valuable artifacts and pieces of building into the sea, hoping to erase all trce of him, so much was their outrage.
1854- another mini population boom starts up
1859- the computer is invented
1861- population boom ends
1879- Rebel activities begin to pick up
1897- a proposal is made to never initiate war against outside continent or country
1900- the Rebels are furious at the "anti-war:" law
1901- The Rebels kill Oki Erinis and his wife, Kimicha Isala
1901- 5th month; the death penalty against Rebels is lightened to imprisonment. The Rebels are still not happy. They want a martial Atlantis.
1918- Alcoholic beverages are allowed for anyone, in a pre-determined quantity based on age
1921- the first compact computer is invented
1929- the car is invented
1937- the First front Denerosian Incident occurs. The Rebels wage war against the rest of Atlantis
1938- invisibility & sight field erected and enstated as permanent
1940- the Rebels are driven to Denerosia, a small rocky and barren island off the northeastern coast of Atlantis by Oki Nemeru
1940- "Day of Nemeru" is a national holiday- no work or labor from sunrise to sunset
1943- Oki Nemeru is killed by Denerosian asssasins during a law signing ceremony.
1943- Oki Davidian Rensivole Paramandit III is elected
1947- the public wonders why there is no Kimicha of the Oki
1950- Oki Paramandit arranges trade with trusted contacts from each continent
1954- Many exotic foods are brought into Atlantis as a result, like coffee.
1960- crime rates fall to practically 3%
1967- law enforcement in Atlantis is heavily funded
1968- many ship wrecked people begin landing on the shores of Atlantis; mostly from the United States. This phenominum is attributed to nature and is dubbed the "Bermuda Triangle" effect
1973- satelite communication is initiated to speak with the contacts from different countries
1982-1987 unnamed disease sweeps nation, killing 40% of the population
1992- everyone wonders why the Oki has no Kimicha.
1993-1997 Oki Paramandit leaves on long excursions to North america frequently
1997- Oki Paramandit falls ill
1998- Oki Paramandit dies without an heir. Leaves kingdom of Atlantis to his niece from North america.
1998- 3rd month; Kimicha Achine becomes the first "Queen-Alone" of Atlantis
1999- Kimicha Achine hires a full staff from her various contacts, and begins re-designating the old dutchies.
2000- Kimicha Achine takes an Oki, her former Knight Protector
2005- Princess Emerald is born.
